PLASTIC PRACTICE HANDBELLS
BRINGING HANDBELL PRACTICING HOME
3D Printed with Plastic Resin
Moving Clapper with Rubber Spring to prevent Re-Ringing
When Rung Forward they produce a Short ‘Clicking’ Sound. Sound is NOT equal to the Pitch indicated on the Handle.
The Pitch on the Handle only indicates the Handbell Size
Designed for Practicing Handbells away from formal rehearsals.
ORIGINAL Practice Handbells
All PRACTICE HANDBELLS now come with an Adjustable, Rubber Damping Mechanism (Shown in BLACK in the Photo). This prevents Double-Ringing and Back Ringing. The Rubber Damper can be adjusted by gently moving it higher or lower on the clapper mechanism base.

Demo of Practice Handbells
The Video demonstrates the sound of Plastic Practice Handbells. They make a slight metal-like sound. The bells have different sizes and thicknesses, which varies slightly the tone of each bell. However, the actual tones do not match the Note labeled on the handle.
Practice Handbells FAQs

We’re making a Plastic Handbell with a Metal sound. PH’s do not ring as long as a Bronze bell as that would take more weight and weight = cost. But, PHs each make a distinctive Metal Pitch, just not the same pitch as the Label on the Note Label, which can help you distinguish between bells while practicing.

Regular, expensive, Handbells are not available.
They are the same shape as regular Handbells
They have a one-way clapper to prevent double ringing
Handles are similar size to regular Handbells
Practicing away from formal practice helps increase your muscle memory, especially if you have a weaker non-dominant hand&arm
Special Ringing Techniques like Weaving 3 or more Bells, 4-in-Hand, Shelley Ringing, as well as Shaking, Swinging, Malleting, Thumb Damping all require more practice than you can get formal rehearsals.

They may not want you to take the groups bronze bells home
They may not want you to take your music home in fear that you may forget to bring it to the next rehearsal
They may be content playing low level music
They probably are not aware of the availability of Practice Handbells

Lower the anxiety of your ringers
Increase your ringer’s skill level
Give more fulfilling performances
Maybe even give more performances to a broader audience
Play higher level music
Encourage potential new ringers to join your choir
People who have musical experiences may mentally expect to be able to practice at home, yet with handbells that is not encouraged
